celebrates its 1st Earth Day

The pavilion will serve as the outdoor classroom area.
 


Lincoln and Atlanta Rotary clubs sponsored the insectarium and provided
considerable support at the project. Enthusiastically supportive, Kirby
Rogers said the Rotarians would continue to aid the work.

 

Lincoln College trustees were in full support of the project. Bill Gossett (with the camera) was recognized for his labor in the fields already.

The first guests at the site were those who have helped launch the project, which included family and friends.

 

There is plenty of space for volunteers to assist in developing. Flags and markers were provided to stake a claim by name.

The grounds feature an outdoor teaching pavilion, insectarium and greenhouse ...
 
 

 


... restored prairie, boardwalks, swales for rain runoff and a 35-car parking lot.
