At their final meeting for the
academic year, on April 24, the Iota Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa
presented Dr. Dennis Campbell with a check for $1,000 to install a
recycling center at Creekside, Lincoln College's Outdoor Center for
Environmental Education.

The recycling center will include bins for plastic, glass and
aluminum cans. PTK members have been helping at the Creekside site
all year, cutting trails, installing cedar split-rail fences, moving
rocks for the pond, assembling the greenhouse rafters, weeding and
painting.
Hannah Singleton, chapter president, who initiated the project
and presented the check to Campbell, said: "Iota Chi Chapter enjoyed
their time working at Creekside, and we are thrilled to present
these funds to Dr. Campbell to install a recycling center at
Creekside to help promote the site's commitment to environmental
awareness and preservation."

Lincoln College's PTK chapter has had several fundraisers over the
year, including two trivia nights, silent auctions and 50-50
drawings to help raise the funds for the Creekside project. They
also raised almost $1,700 for Special Olympics in Logan County.
