For demonstrating outstanding character, Grant Bale receives
a Barnes & Noble gift card from 1st State Bank and an iTunes gift
card from the Illini Central High School faculty. Grant is the son
Darren and Brenda Bale. His classes this year are Spanish 4,
Accounting, Advanced Math, Dual Credit English Composition 101 &
102, and Physical Education. Grant also helps as an office aide.
In addition, Grant keeps busy with extracurricular activities. He
is a member of Spanish Club and National Honor Society. He also
played on the basketball team.
Outside of school, Grant has been a volunteer for the Illini
Central Summer Basketball Cougar Camp. He also helped with community
decorations for Veterans Day and Christmas.
Grant plans to attend the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, where he will major in agriculture and consumer
economics, concentrating on agri-accounting.

Sadie is the daughter of Doug Kirby and Jennifer Kirby. Her
classes this year are Psychology, Spanish 4, Advanced Writing,
Career Skills, Anatomy and Physiology, Advanced Math, and Dual
Credit English Composition 101 & 102.
Sadie is president of Spanish Club, secretary of National Honor
Society, and a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of
America.
Sadie plans to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago,
where she will major in biological sciences.
