LCU receives grant from Loftis Foundation

[August 17, 2013]  Lincoln Christian University has been awarded a grant from the Loftis Foundation of Moore Haven, Fla. The grant will make possible the creation and distribution of teaching resources and seminar speakers to empower Christians to make a defense of their faith and take steps to diminish the loss of faith in youth culture.

The resources will include published materials, digital strategies and face-to-face educational opportunities conducted by experienced leaders. These resources and educational opportunities will be used nationwide in church settings, at conferences, conventions and at other schools, colleges and universities. The first phase of this project is expected to take place over the next three years.

"The goals of the foundation grant and the historic mission of Lincoln Christian University are a perfect match," said LCU President Keith H. Ray.

This initiative will become part of the newly named James D. Strauss Institute of Lincoln Christian University. The grant also establishes the Robert Sloniger Endowment for Chicago Engagement, which will fund LCU initiatives in Chicagoland.

Established in Lincoln in 1944, LCU’s mission is to equip Christians to serve and lead in the church, the workplace and the world.
