Sue Ann Lamaster-Thomas, 72, formerly of Attica, IN
had been residing in Shelbina, MO, passed away
unexpectedly at her home in Shelbina on Monday,
August 12, 2013.
Sue was born in Oxford, IN on November 28, 1940. She
was the daughter of Edgar and Mary Lamaster and
raised in Attica, graduating in 1958 and married
James Thomas in 1958.
She and her husband lived around the country through
military service, then in ministry through their 54
1/2 years together. They lived in Lincoln, IL from
1982 to 1987 and in Emden IL from 1997 to 2001. They
settled in Shelbina, MO where she was the adoptive
grandma for many children at Shiloh Children's
Homes.
She was a member of Shelbina Christian Church. She
loved knitting and spending time with the Shiloh
children. Her own grandchildren were precious to her
and she cherished the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her husband Jim, three sons:
James Edgar (and Sharon) Thomas of Oak Ridge, TN;
Jeffrey Dean Thomas, of Lincoln, IL; Ross Allen (and
Shelley) Thomas of Hartsburg, IL; six grandchildren:
Kati Thomas-Arredondo; Zach, Jacob, and Sarah
Thomas; and Jonathan and Madelyn Thomas, two great
grand children, and two nephews whose children she
loved like grandchildren as well.
She was laid to rest in Attica, IN Aug. 16, 2013.
