Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Monday afternoon.
Hot weather going into September
and a lack of rain over a large part of the corn and soybean
areas combined to drive prices higher.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were up 15 to 20 cents at 6.19-6.45.
Soybean bids were 60 to 70 cents
higher at 14.69-14.94.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mixed at 6.16-6.45.
Soybean bids were 60 to 70 cents
higher at 15.07-15.25.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 10 to
20 cents higher at 5.86-6.53.
Soybean bids were 60 to 65 cents
higher at 14.69-15.02.
Wheat bids were up 20 cents at 6.20-6.40.
