ATLANTA -- Edna L. Strohkirch, 85, of
Atlanta, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Heritage Manor in Normal.

Atlanta -- Edna L. Strohkirch, 85, of Atlanta,
passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at
Heritage Manor in Normal.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Strohkirch will be held on
Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Pastor
Edwin Garvin will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from
10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at
the funeral home.
Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery in Atlanta.
Edna L. Cook was born on July 9, 1928 in Hopedale,
the daughter of John W. and Susan Daugherty Cook.
She married Clifford B. Strohkirch on July 13, 1946.
He preceded her in death on April 5, 1999.
Edna is survived by her children: Jim (Marilyn)
Strohkirch of Bloomington, Jeanne Strohkirch of
Atlanta, Diane (Steven) Tirpak of LeRoy, Darrell R.
Strohkirch of Atlanta, Kathy Derry of Galesburg and
Keith (Paula) Strohkirch of Crystal City, Mo.; 18
grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one
sister: Zelda (Bill) Atkins of Morton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford;
one son, Leslie Strohkirch; three brothers: Alvin
Cook, Glenn Cook and Albert Cook and one sister,
Bertha Dalbey.

Edna worked at BroMenn Hospital in housekeeping and
was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in
Normal.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God
Church in Normal or the American Cancer Society.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
