Illinois country grain prices were
lower on Thursday afternoon.
A slight chance of rain in the
extended weather forecast was enough to push grain lower.
Some traders were also evening
positions ahead of the Labor Day holiday on Monday.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were 5 to 10 cents lower at 5.80-6.20.
Soybean bids were steady to 9
cents lower at 14.55-14.66.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were lower at 5.74-6.23.
Soybean bids were 3 to 7 cents
lower at 14.88-15.04.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 12 to
23 cents lower at 5.62-6.07.
Soybean bids were mixed at
14.45-14.76.
Wheat bids were mixed at
6.06-6.30.
