		No. 24 Iowa 98, Notre Dame 93: Aaron White had 20 points, seven rebounds 
		and seven assists to lead the host Hawkeyes to a Big Ten/ACC Challenge 
		victory over the Fighting Irish. Roy Devyn Marble and Jarrod Uthoff each 
		scored 17 for Iowa (8-1), which outrebounded Notre Dame 36-26. Mike 
		Gesell and Zach McCabe each contributed 10 points to the winning effort. |

			 Garrick Sherman had 29 points and nine rebounds to lead Notre Dame 
			(5-2). Eric Atkins scored a season-high 23 points while Jerian Grant 
			notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists. 
 			The first half was back and forth most of the way, with Iowa holding 
			a three-point lead with just under seven minutes to play. But the 
			Hawkeyes created a little breathing room before halftime, going on 
			an 11-6 run to open an 11-point advantage before Grant's layup at 
			the buzzer cut the lead to nine at the break.

		 The second half was close throughout, with the 
				Irish trailing by three with 2:39 to play. Atkins twice pulled 
				the Irish within three again in the closing 40 seconds, but 
				Uthoff had five points in the final minute and White hit a pair 
				of clinching free throws with two seconds to play.
 				GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hawkeyes shot 56.9 percent from the field for 
				the game while the Irish hit 51.5 percent of their shots. ... 
				Sherman set a new career high with his 29-point effort. ... Iowa 
				snapped a seven-game losing streak in the annual competition
