After all the chaos of Black
Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, you deserve a break this weekend.
The Lincoln College Chamber Choir and Chorale will present their
annual Winter Concert on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnston
Center for the Performing Arts on the Lincoln campus.

The choirs will sing a dozen pieces and the college's saxophone
quartet will perform in the one-hour show. "The choirs will be
performing some nontraditional holiday music, vocal jazz, Nigerian
and Kituban African carols, as well as contemporary Christian and
traditional African-American spirituals," said Cynthia Fox,
assistant professor and vocal director. "We are also going to do the
Nigerian Christmas carol 'Betelehumu' that was so popular at last
year's concert, and we'll be inviting any LC choral alumni who are
in the audience and know the piece to join us on stage for that
number."
General admission is $2.

In conjunction with the concert, there will be a 50-50 raffle to
support the choral department and their activities, and LC's Phi
Theta Kappa honor society will collect new, unwrapped toys for the
Logan County Toys for Tots program. For each toy donated, donors
will be entered in a drawing for one of two Visa gift cards.
