DECEMBER 9

PERS TRANSMITTERS

Linear is recalling Personal Emergency Reporting System (PERS) Transmitters sold nationwide from June 2013 to August 2013. The battery clips in the transmitters can corrode causing the transmitters to operate intermittently or not at all, without generating a warning. 

The recalled Linear PERS transmitters are components of Linear PERS products and allow users to push a button on the transmitter to summon assistance. Transmitter models DXS-LRC, DXS-LRC-LA, DXS-LRP and DXS-LRW manufactured from June 2013 to July 2013 with date codes 1306 and 1307 representing the year and month, and 1329 (representing the 29th week of 2013) are included in the recall.

DECEMBER 10

GAS TRIMMERS 

Emak USA is recalling efco brand Gas Trimmers sold nationwide and in Canada from June 2009 to July 2013. The muffler on the trimmer's engine can break during use and pose a fire hazard. 

Three models are recalled in two engine sizes measured in cubic centimeters.  They are: 36cc models 8371 S and 8371 T, and a 40.2cc model 8421 T engine displacement. The brand name "efco" and model number are printed on the front of the engine and the brand name also appears on the wand. 

Consumers should return the trimmers to an authorized efco dealer for a free muffler replacement kit.

TORO MOWERS           

Toro is recalling TimeMaster and TurfMaster lawn mowers sold nationwide and in Canada from November 2012 to October 2013. The mower's blade can break and injure the user and others nearby. 

This recall involves 2013 Toro TimeMaster 30" and 2013 Toro TurfMaster 30" lawn mowers with the following model and serial numbers: Model number 20199 with serial numbers ranging from 313000101 to 313020271; model number 20200 with serial numbers ranging from 313000101 to 313007366; and, model number 22200 with serial numbers ranging from 313000101 to 313007146.

COMMERCIAL MOWERS 

Exmark is recalling Commercial Walk-Behind Mowers sold nationwide and in Canada from November 2012 to October 2013. The mower's blade can break and injure the user and others nearby. 

This recall involves 2013 Exmark Commercial 30" Walk-Behind Mowers, model ECKA30 and serial numbers ranging from 313605897 to 313660824. The phrases "Commercial 30" and "Exmark" are printed on the front of the black and red mower.

DECEMBER 11

IKEA CHILDREN'S LAMPS 

IKEA is recalling Children's wall-mounted lamps sold exclusively at IKEA stores nationwide and in Canada from July 1999 to May 2013. Children can get entangled in the lamp's cord causing a strangulation hazard. 

The recalled IKEA children's SMILA-series wall-mounted lamps were sold in eight designs. A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org.

GIRLS' JACKETS 

Ram's Imports is recalling IQ Girls' Hooded Pink Leopard Jackets sold exclusively at Burlington Coat Factory stores nationwide from October 2010 to August 2013. The jackets have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard. 

The jackets have pink and black leopard print drawstrings and pink and black leopard print on the sides of the jacket. "IQ girls" is printed on the sewn-in label located on the back of the neck. The model number included in the recall is 86557 and can be found printed on a sewn in label in the back of the neck. 

Consumers should remove the drawstrings from the garment or return the garment to Ram's Imports Inc. for a full refund.

TUBE SLIDES 

Solowave is recalling Tornado brand home playground tube slides with port holes sold nationwide from February 2008 to August 2013. The plastic port hole-type windows in the tube slide can break, posing a laceration hazard. 

This recall involves Solowave Tornado brand home playground tube slides with port holes. The slides were sold with Solowave's Centennial, Centennial II, Lexington, Rocky Mountain Deluxe and Sheridan play systems and were also sold separately.  Solowave Design is stamped on the outside of the slides near the middle of each tube slide section.

DECEMBER 12

ACCENT CHAIRS 

Hobby Lobby is recalling Accent Chairs sold exclusively at Hobby Lobby stores nationwide from March 2013 to August 2013. The front legs on the chair can loosen and detach, posing a fall hazard and risk of injury. 

This recall involves black wooden accent chairs with a shaped wood top rail and center back splat. Item number 5218300 and PO number 9099294 are printed on the chair's hang tag and a tag affixed to the underside of the chair.  

Consumers should return the chair to the nearest Hobby Lobby store. Consumers with a purchase receipt will receive a full refund and consumers without a receipt will receive a store credit.

DODDLEBUTT TOYS 

Doodlebutt is recalling Jelly BeadZ Jumbo BeadZ and Magic Growing Fruity Fun Toys sold nationwide from February 2012 to September 2013. These soft and colorful products can be mistaken by a child for candy. When swallowed, they can expand inside a child's body and cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and could be life threatening. 

This recall involves Doodlebutt Jelly BeadZ Jumbo BeadZ and Magic Growing Fruity Fun water-absorbing polymer toys. A full description can be found at www.recalls.org

TREK BICYCLES 

Trek is recalling Trek model year 2013 Madone bicycles sold nationwide from July 2012 to December 2013. The bicycle's front brake can fail, posing a crash hazard. 

This recall involves model year 2013 Trek Madone bicycles with model numbers 5.2, 5.9, 6.2, 6.5, 7.7 or 7.9, and serial numbers starting with WTU and ending with G or H. A list of all serial numbers included in the recall is at www.trekbikes.com

Consumers should take the bicycles to a Trek dealer for a free replacement front brake system.

COBY TELEVISIONS 

Eight Retailers are recalling Coby 32-inch flat screen televisions sold nationwide from August 2011 to November 2013. An electronic component can fail, catch fire and ignite nearby items, posing fire and burn hazards. 

This recall involves black Coby 32-inch flat screen televisions with model number TFTV3229 and serial numbers beginning with LG and that have M07 or M10 in the 9th, 10th and 11th position of the serial number.

SHAW CARPET 

Shaw Industries is recalling Aristocrat II Carpet sold exclusively at Lowe's stores nationwide from June 2013 to September 2013. The carpet fails to meet federal flammability standards, posing a fire hazard. 

The recall involves Aristocrat II brand wall-to-wall carpet with style number 7L514. The carpet was sold in one color, "Pale Clay." A date stamp on the back of the carpet reads "USA 760 MEA 52545," the date "06-07-2013," a time range between 00:45 and 3:00 and the words "Pile: 100% Polyester."
