The first half was an offensive abomination, with neither
team over 35 percent from the field and Nance leading all
scorers with a paltry seven points as the Cowboys took a 22-21
lead to the locker room. The Mustangs scored the first six after
the break, but the Cowboys hung tough and led with as little as
4:20 on the clock when Josh Adams' layup made it 52-51.
GAME NOTEBOOK: This is SMU's second five-game winning streak of
the Larry Brown era. … The Mustangs outrebounded the Cowboys
39-29 and have won the rebounding battle in all but one game
this year. … Nance is averaging 27 points and 12.5 rebounds in
his last two games.
