[February 09, 2013]  If you are diabetic and made a resolution to create a healthier lifestyle this year, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital is offering diabetic classes that can help you take control of your health.

The classes are taught by Jennifer DiPasquale, a certified diabetic educator and registered dietitian. All classes meet in the Wombacher Room from 11 a.m. to noon the third Friday of the month.

The Feb. 15 class will focus on "Heart Healthy Fats," in honor of National Heart Month. The March 15 class will pay homage to St. Patrick’s Day and discuss "Alcohol and Diabetes." Join the class on April 19 and gain a better understanding of your diabetes medications.

For more information, contact DiPasquale by email (preferred) at diabetes@almh.org or by calling 217-605-5535.

ALMH, at 200 Stahlhut Drive in Lincoln, is a 25-bed critical-access hospital. For more information, visit www.almh.org.
