Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Tuesday afternoon, with soybean values sharply higher
and corn and wheat futures lower.
Lighter than expected rainfall for
the South American soybean crop, plus the sale of US soybeans to
China fueled today's rally.
The USDA announced that the US
sold 120,000 tonnes of soybeans to China for the 2012-2013 crop
year.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were mostly 3 to 4 cents lower at 6.88-7.09.
Soybean bids were 44 to 46 cents
higher at 14.50-14.60.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 2 to 3 cents lower at 6.92-7.15.
Soybean bids were up 44 to 46
cents at 14.72-14.85.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 4
cents lower at 6.90-7.20.
Soybean bids were 44 to 46 cents
higher at 14.74-14.97.
Wheat bids were 7 to 10 cents
lower at 7.27-7.50.
