Saturday night the Cronin Brothers VFW hosted their second annual appreciation dinner for first responders.

The VFW started the event last year as a means of showing the first responders throughout Logan County that they are appreciated. In addition, the dinner is aimed at the families of those responders as well.

This year as she was handing out certificates of appreciation, Michelle Ramlow, post commander, spoke about the families, saying that for a first responder to do his or her job well, there must be strong support from the family. She thanked the families for standing behind their first responder and understanding the time away from home when they are on duty.
