Barbara L. Otto, 69, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at The
Christian Village.

Barbara L. Otto, 69, of Lincoln passed away January
3, 2013 at The Christian Village in Lincoln
surrounded by her loving family.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, January
7, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home in Lincoln with Henry Johnson and
Dustin Fulton officiating.
Barbara was born September 12, 1943 in Streator IL.,
the daughter of Robert "Buck" Long and Alveda
"Ollie" (Rich) Long.
She retired from the IL Department of Corrections
after 25 years of service.
Barbara was a faithful member of Jefferson Street
Christian Church in Lincoln, the Oasis Senior
Center, and The Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing
bingo and traveling with her friends from the Oasis.

Surviving are her mother, her daughter Shannon
Engelmann of Lincoln, son Stephen Bart Allen of
Decatur, grandsons Zachary Engelmann and Kaleb
Allen, adopted grandchildren: Noah, Max, and Megan, special friend Milt Hoskins of Streator,
brother Bill Long of Havana, and sisters Marilyn
Kirby of Atlanta, Diane Peifer of Waynesville, and
Laura Benedict of Lincoln.
She was preceded on death by her father and her
sister Shirley Terrell.
Memorials may be made to Jefferson Street Christian
Church or to the Oasis Senior Center and will be
accepted at the funeral home.
