Sugar Grove Nature Center: Backyard sugaring with Jim Wilson

[January 11, 2013]  McLEAN -- Have you ever thought about tapping that maple tree in your yard? Learn how with instructor Jim Wilson, who has been transforming sap from his backyard into sirup (the traditional spelling used at Funks Grove) for years. A Jan. 19 program at Sugar Grove Nature Center will give you the basics and direct you to the resources needed to turn your kitchen or garage into a sugar shack.

The program runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
