Helen J. Werkman, 82, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Jan. 9,
2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

LINCOLN-Helen J. Werkman, 82, of Lincoln, IL died at
1:30 p.m. January 9, 2013 at Memorial Medical
Center, Springfield, IL.
Helen was born on January 13, 1930 in Lincoln, IL
the daughter of Alva and
Mabel Webster Bateman. She married Donald Werkman on
September 3, 1949
in Lincoln, IL. He survives in Lincoln. She is also
survived by one daughter, Jill
Werkman of Toluca, IL.

Helen was a homemaker, had worked at Lehn & Fink,
Lincoln, and Logan County Housing Authority. She was a
member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Services for Helen will be Monday, January 14, 2013
at 2:00 p.m. at Veail
Chapel, Steenbergen Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski, IL with Rev.
Wallace Reifsteck
officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 13 from
2:00-4:00 pm at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home,
Lincoln, and one hour prior to service at Veail Chapel on Monday.
Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery. Memorials may be
given to the American Legion Post #263 Building Fund. |
