Amy L. Gehlbach, 85, of Lincoln, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 6:05
a.m. at Christian Village.

LINCOLN-Amy L. Gehlbach, 85, of Lincoln, IL died at
6:05 a.m. January 11, 2013 at Christian Village,
Lincoln, IL.
Amy was born on April 28, 1927 in St. Jacob,
Illinois, the daughter of Clarence A. and Mary S.
Kinder Anderson. She married Vernon "Gilly" Gehlbach
on May 22, 1955 in Lincoln. He survives in Lincoln,
IL.
She is also survived by two sons: Gary (Susan)
Gehlbach of Sussex, WI; Daryl (Janet) Gehlbach of
Fridley, MN; one daughter: Lois (Scott) Smeja of Oak
Brook, IL; ten grandchildren and three great
grandchildren; one brother, George (Reva) Anderson
of Bloomington, IL and one sister, Vivian Bonham of
Olathe, KS. She was preceded in death by her
parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Amy worked as a dietary supervisor at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. She was a member
of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln; sang in the
church choir and was National President of the
Hospital Institution Educational Food Service
Society; a member of Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid.
Services for Amy will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday,
January 16, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln
with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will
be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to
services at the Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be
in Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Zion
Lutheran Church. All arrangements were entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Lincoln.
