Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Wednesday afternoon, with soybean futures sharply
higher.
Stronger soybean meal values,
technical buying at the Board of Trade and a dry extended
weather forecast for the South American soybean crop helped to
boost soybean futures.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were 10 cents higher at 7.28-7.47.
Soybean bids were 13 to 16 cents
higher at 14.68-14.85.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 10 to 11 cents higher at 7.40-7.52.
Soybean bids were 23 to 27 cents
higher at 14.82-14.99.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 10
cents higher at 7.26-7.65.
Soybean bids were 21 to 26 cents
higher at 14.95-15.17.
Wheat bids were 8 to 10 cents
higher at 7.80-7.97.
