MOUNT PULASKI -- Marietta Rose Romer,
68, of Mount Pulaski, died Sunday, June 30, at 5:50 p.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Mt. Pulaski: Marietta Rose Romer, 68, of Mt. Pulaski
passed away at 5:50 P.M. Sunday June 30, 2013 at
Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
Marietta was born on April 13, 1945 to John and
Kathryn Cox McCue in Lincoln, IL. She married Thomas
J. Romer on September 24, 1966 at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Elkhart, IL. He survives of Mt.
Pulaski.
Marietta is also survived by two sons, Thomas A.
Romer of Mt. Pulaski and Timothy (Bethany) Romer of
Heyworth, three brothers, Hugh "Mac" (Florence)
McCue of Spaulding, IL, Bob (Cheryl) McCue of Mt.
Pulaski, IL and Chuck (Valerie) McCue of
Springfield, and two grandsons Timmy and Alex.

Marietta served as the Mt. Pulaski City Clerk for
eight years and also worked as the secretary for St.
Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski. She
was a member of the Mt. Pulaski American Legion
Auxiliary Post #447. She loved crafts, traveling,
watching golf, tennis, the Chicago Cubs and spending
time with her grandchildren.
Mass for Marietta will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday
July 3, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church
in Mt. Pulaski with Father Glenn Fontana
officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M.
Tuesday evening at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski. Rosary will be
recited at 3:15 P.M. that afternoon. Burial will be
at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials may be made to
the Central Illinois Down Syndrome Organization.
