MOUNT PULASKI -- Donald Beckers, 86, of Mount Pulaski, formerly of Washington, died
Monday, July 8, 2013, at 8:25 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Mt. Pulaski: Donald Beckers, 86, of Mt. Pulaski
formerly of Washington, IL, passed away at 8:25 P.M.
on July 8, 2013 at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Donald was born on January 1, 1927 in Mt. Pulaski,
son of George F. and Hazel B. Potter Beckers. Donald
served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He
retired from Caterpillar following 37 years of
service as a research project coordinator. Donald
was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Methodist Church.

Donald is survived by his sisters: Hazel J (Ralph)
Raber of Mt. Carmel; Joan (John) Stahly of Bloomington;
seven nieces and nephews; and a number of cousins. He was
preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roy Beckers,
and his beloved dog "Tubby."
Services for Donald will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday,
July 12, 2013 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Mt. Pulaski. Visitation will be held an hour prior to
the service. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pulaski
Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by the
Mt. Pulaski American Legion Post #447. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the Vonderlieth Living Center in
Mt. Pulaski.
