Arthur Paul Neitzel, 76, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013,
at 1 a.m. at his home.

LINCOLN-Arthur Paul Neitzel, 76, of Lincoln, passed
away at his home at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10,
2013 surrounded by his family.
Arthur was born on October 6, 1936 in Springfield,
IL the son of Rev. Arthur Edward and Amelia
Meinhardt Neitzel. He married Martha Ann Newman on
August 28, 1958 in Pekin, Illinois.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Martha, of Lincoln;
two sons: Michael Neitzel
and Timothy (Kathryn) Neitzel, both of Lincoln; six
grandchildren: Chase (Melissa) Neitzel of Bethalto,
IL; Collin (Samantha) Neitzel of Pell Lake, WI;
Ethan (Ashleigh) Neitzel of Lincoln; Kirsten, Ian,
and Connor Neitzel of Lincoln; five great
grandchildren: Cadence, Tessa, Brooklyn, Madison,
and Hunter Neitzel. His parents preceded him in
death.

Arthur was owner and operator of Art's Truck and
Auto for thirty years. He also worked as maintenance
operator at Lincoln Developmental Center, Lincoln.
Arthur was a City of Lincoln Alderman for 17 years.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln.
Arthur was proud to have served in the US Army from
1955-1961.
Services for Arthur will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday,
July 13, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln
with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will be
in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be Friday
from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service
at the church. Memorials may be given to Zion
Lutheran Church of Lincoln or Zion Lutheran School.
