Illinois country grain prices were
mostly higher on Thursday afternoon.
Corn and soybean futures ended
higher despite bearish reaction to the new Supply Demand report
released by the USDA on Thursday.
In the cash markets, trading has
been slow to moderate.
While cash basis for corn and
soybeans has been very strong, there was weakness noted at both
river terminals and processors.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were 2 to 3 cents higher at 6.84-7.01.
Soybean bids were mixed at
15.70-15.84.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mostly 4 to 9 cents higher at 6.96-7.16.
Soybean bids were mixed at
15.83-16.13.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 7 to 9
cents higher at 6.79-7.06.
Soybean bids were mixed at
15.93-16.42. Wheat bids were up 4 cents at 6.58-6.73.
