Mary Lou Myers, 82, of Springfield, formerly of Lincoln, died
Friday, July 12, 2013, at 12:15 p.m. at Concordia Village,
Springfield.

LINCOLN-Mary Lou Myers, 82, of Springfield, formerly
of Lincoln, died at 12:15 pm on July 12, 2013 at
Concordia Village, Springfield, Illinois surrounded
by her loving family.
Mary Lou was born March 26, 1931 in Emden, IL the
daughter of Nanke and Frances Rademaker Harms. She
married Donald Myers January 9, 1956 in Emden, IL.
He preceded her in death December 12, 1987.
Mary Lou is survived by four daughters: Leslie (Jim)
Gumm of Normal, IL,
Teri Myers of Springfield, Donita Myers of
Springfield, and Angie Myers of Springfield; two
sisters: Ruth Ellen Elsas of Hillsboro, IL and
Shirley Ann (Ellis) Gemberling of Springfield; four
grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one
brother: Donald Wayne Harms.
Mary Lou had worked as secretary at Farm Services,
assistant dietician at Lincoln Community High
School; and secretary at Logan County Health
Department. She was a member at Immanuel Lutheran
Church of Lincoln. She was a volunteer for Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Pink
Shutter.
Services for Mary Lou will be at 10:00 am Wednesday,
July 17, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln
with Rev. Thomas Kamprath officiating. Burial will
be n Green Hill Cemetery, San Jose, IL. Visitation
will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church
or Concordia Benevolent Fund.
