Lincoln Heat 8U finish season on a high note

[July 15, 2013]  HOPEDALE -- The Lincoln Heat 8U finished their season strong, winning the Hopedale Round Robin by beating Hopedale 15-10 and Olympia 13-12.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, trailing by two runs, Jaden Leadley's base hit to center field scored Bricen Gillum, and it was an amazing ending to an awesome season.

It was a team day as Gillum, Leadley, Trey Schilling, Mason Farris, Ryan O'Donoghue, Ashton Koontz, Darren Stevens, Jude Toft, Cooper Atkins, Wyatt Mammen, Luke Jones and Dylan Ferguson all had multiple hits.

The 8U finish their season with a 22-18 record,  two first-place tournament wins and a fourth place.
