Gary Keith Hammonds, 69, of Inman, SC passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013. He was the husband of Kay Hardin Hammonds of forty-six and one-half years.

Mr. Hammonds was a native of Benton, Illinois and a son of the late William Hammonds and Edna Andrews. He was a retired Postal Service clerk, Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and attended Lighthouse Christian Fellowship.

He is survived by son and daughter in law: Tory and Tina Hammonds; daughters and son in law: Lori and Billy Rice, Amy Hammonds; brothers: David Story and Eddie Hardin; grandchildren: Daniel Rice, Faith and Tyler Hammonds. His pride and joy were his grandchildren.

Visitation was on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, SC.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs officiated by Rev. Billy Rice. Interment followed at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Gene Bailey, Gene Byrd, Harley Gilmore, Stephen Hardin, John Herbert, and Ben Parris.

The family is at the residence.
