Professionals in diverse segments of the land business -- including
agriculture, timber, ranch, recreation, appraisals, auctions, farm
managers and investors -- were out in full force at the national
conference to learn, network, make deals and have fun. Speakers
included world-renowned economists, a climatologist, an expert in
wind and air rights, investment strategists, a mineral and gas
surface use and development expert, auction professionals, timber
and ranch experts, recreation experts, and more. The final keynote
presenter, Brian Binnie, a civilian astronaut, shared his journey on
"SpaceShipOne."
The conference was presented by the Realtors Land Institute, an
affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.
RLI's "Greatest Auction on Earth" was considered a huge success
with a "dream team" of auctioneers who are RLI members, many of them
with the designation of Accredited Land Consultants or candidates
working toward earning the designation.
Bock holds the following designations: ALC, Accredited Land
Consultant; AFLM, Accredited Farm Land Member, CCRA, Certified
Commercial Real Estate Appraiser; CRS, Certified Residential
Specialist; GAA, General Accredited Appraiser; GRI, Graduate
Realtors Institute; MSA, Master Senior Appraiser; MRA, Master
Residential Appraiser; and MFLA, Master Farm & Land Appraiser.
The Accredited Land Consultant designation, which Bock has had
for 35 years, is an indication of land professionals who are the
most accomplished, experienced, educated and highest performing land
experts. It requires successful completion of a rigorous education
program and a track record of performance. Those with the
designation are considered to be the most trusted and have shown
their commitment to professionalism.

Awards were received by ALCs who networked with each other to
land deals and build business. The recipients of the National
ALC-to-ALC Networking Award collaborated on a $3,100,000
transaction. This was just one of many ALC-to-ALC closings.
Bock was previously awarded the Land Realtor of America Award.
Chuck Wingert, ALC, this year's national president of RLI, said:
"Participating in the National Land Conferences and being an active
member in the Realtors Land Institute is an investment that brings
strong business relationships and increased commissions. One cannot
afford to miss theses opportunities."
The 2014 National Land Conference will take place in Charleston,
S.C., on March 12-14.
