James R. Wibben, 66, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, died Friday,
July 19, 2013, at 12:35 p.m. at his home.

Funeral Services

10:00 a.m. at
the Atlanta
Christian Church
with Father
Gilbert
Gandenberger
officiating.
Visitation
will be held on
Monday, July 22,
2013 from 5:00
p.m. until 8:00
p.m. at the
Quiram
Peasley Funeral
Home.
Additional
visitation will
be held on
Tuesday from
9:00 a.m. until
time of the
service at the
church on
Tuesday.
Burial will
be in New Union
Cemetery in
Lincoln.
James Reike
Wibben was born
on February 24,
1947 in Lincoln
the son of Reike
Smith Wibben and
Virginia Sank
Wibben.
He married
Janet Pech on
March 26, 1977.
She preceded him
in death on
September 26,
1987. He later
married Marge
Dowell on August
27, 1988. She
survives in
Lincoln.
Also
surviving are
his children:
Jody Wibben of
Atlanta, Julie
(Dan) Benedict
of San Antonio,
Tx., Matthew J.
(Trisha)
Presswood of
Chestnut. One
sister: Janet
Groth of Emden,
one brother:
Jeff Wibben of
Hartsburg. Five
grandchildren:
Danielle
Benedict, Colton
Benedict, Ayiana
Benedict. Aaron
Durchholz and
Karson Presswood.

Jim graduated from the Hartsburg- Emden High School in 1965.
He farmed in the Hartsburg,
Atlanta and Beason area for many years. He retired from the
Logan County Reconditioned Cemetery District after working
for twenty years.
He was a member of the Chestnut
Men's Club in Chestnut and the Country Aire Coffee Club.
Jim enjoyed his family, kids and
grandkids, camping, traveling, fishing, woodworking.
