Alma Stoll

[July 25, 2013]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Alma Henrietta Stoll, 87, of Mount Pulaski, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 5:07 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Mt. Pulaski: Alma H. Stoll, 87, of Mt. Pulaski passed away at 5:07 A.M. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.

Alma was born on January 29, 1926 in El Paso, IL to John and Anna Maxheimer Hassebrock. She married Everett N. Stoll on February 17, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1988. She worked as an office clerk at Lehn & Fink in Lincoln but was first and foremost a mother and grandmother.

Alma was a 4-H leader for 30 years, a volunteer for the Mt. Pulaski Historical Society and was a member of the Chestnut Happy Homemakers Home Extension and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She enjoyed traveling, needlework and babysitting her grandchildren.

Alma is survived by eight children, J. (Linda) Stoll of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Marian (Steve) Mueller of Saline, MI, Julian (Martha) Stoll of Carnelian Bay, CA, Karen Stoll of Pahrump, NV, Marilyn Stoll of Vero Beach, FL, Kevin (Susan) Stoll of Franklin, WI, Melvin (Tracy) Stoll of Springfield, IL, Karilyn (Scot) Wonderlin of Mahomet, IL, two brothers, John Hassebrock of Lincoln, IL, Glen (Muriel) Hassebrock of Decatur, IL, two sisters, Lois (Wilbur) Ruwe of Beason, IL and Ethel Hein of San Jose, CA.

She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Erin Wyss, Brett Stoll, Laura Hahn, Diane Fey, Alex Stoll, Abigail Stoll, Daniel Stoll, Skylar Bradham, Kelsey Stoll, Kinzey Stoll, Nicole Wonderlin, Katelyn Wonderlin, and Dana Wonderlin and four great-grandchildren Teagan and Peyton Wyss and Everett and Bennett Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Emily Ellen, and six brothers and sisters.

Services for Alma will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski with Rev. Christopher Decker officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M. prior to services. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pulaski Zion Lutheran School or to the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Foundation.
