[July 27, 2013]  JACKSONVILLE -- CGB Diversified Crop Insurance Services has announced that due to growth, a new regional manager, Scott Crumbaugh, has recently been added for the company's Central region. Crumbaugh will be responsible for maintaining current relationships with agents as well as developing new business in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Scott hails from Ithaca, Mich., where he grew up on a large grain crop and beef farming operation.

From lending to starting up his own crop insurance agency -- now one of the largest in Michigan -- Crumbaugh brings a wealth of experience to DCIS. Since he sold his share of the crop insurance agency in 2006, he has spent the past several years working with the creation of a 110-million-gallon ethanol plant, forming a drinking water business and in business planning consultation.

"Helping farmers to grow their business and be informed about the changes in this industry as well as understanding risk management strategies is very important, if not necessary, in farming today," stated Crumbaugh. "Diversified Crop Insurance Services is a great company with impressive products and even more impressive people. I am looking forward to introducing new agents to the opportunity that DCIS offers in increasing the profitability of their agency and their insureds."

"The depth of experience that Scott brings to DCIS and his track record of success will prove very beneficial for our agents and farming customers," said Ron Miiller, national marketing manager. "With the addition of people like Scott, we continue to provide world-class service to our customers and show our expert attention to details to help our customers improve their risk management program."

Crumbaugh will work with independent agents throughout his region to ensure that they are able to illustrate to their farmers how to use crop insurance to the fullest potential. Diversified Crop Insurance Services goes beyond the policy to ensure that farmers receive the most accurate and up-to-date information in order to help provide them with solutions to meet their needs.

Crumbaugh can be reached at 989-513-0833 or Scott.Crumbaugh@cgb.com.
