            [July 27, 2013]      Send a link to a friend MOUNT PULASKI -- A pitch-perfect performance
under a picture-perfect summer evening sky was enjoyed by the
largest crowd of the summer community band concert series in Mount
			Pulaski.
			 Nearly 100 folks heard
an Americana fest of old-time favorites that conjured up many
memories, enhanced by director Harry Hild during his introductions
of each selection with some of its background history. One of the closing pieces, "Semper Fidelis," brought to mind the Mount Pulaski High School Band
booming out this famous Sousa march as they strutted through the
streets before school sessions. It was announced that the
band's next performance will be following Saturday's parade at the
annual Mount Pulaski Fall Festival on Sept. 7.
