Alice Caroline Comstock, of Lincoln, died Friday, May 31, at 5:30
p.m. at Symphony of Lincoln after an extended illness.

Lincoln: Alice Caroline Comstock of Lincoln passed
away at 5:30 P.M. Friday May 31, 2013 at Symphony of
Lincoln after an extended illness.
Alice was born in Lawndale, IL, the daughter of
James and Mary Wilson Benedict. She was the youngest
of 16 children. She married David Comstock on June
25, 1982. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Michael (Pam)
Dempsey of Decatur, one daughter Tami (Gary) Bray of
Kenney, one stepson Matthew (Tara) Comstock of
Lincoln, and one step-daughter Sarah (Rick) Puls of
New Holland. Her grandchildren include Christopher
Dempsey of Decatur, Caroline Cole of Champaign,
Nathan and Jason Puls of New Holland, and Ryan and
Owen Comstock of Lincoln, one great granddaughter
Vanessa and one sister, Nora Emmons, both of
Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. Alice was also
blessed by several wonderful caregivers including
Charlene, Brenda, and Dorothy among others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 14
brothers and sisters, and one daughter and
son-in-law, Robin and Jay Fry.
Alice was retired from the bottle factory after 20
years of service and her many hobbies included her
flowers, ceramics, and painting on wood and fabrics.
Alice was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Lincoln and spent several years at the First Baptist
Church in East Peoria. Memorials may be made to
either church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Comstock will be at 10:30
A.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the First Baptist
Church in Lincoln with Rev. Robert Henderson
officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M.
Monday, June 3, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, Lincoln. Burial will be at Holy
Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.
