Lincoln Christian University President Keith Ray has announced that this year's recipient of LCU’s Lincoln Community Leadership Award is the Woods Foundation. The foundation was formed in 1998 by Robert J. Woods and his wife, Joan Jarrett Woods. Robert died in February of 1998, and his wife died in December 2006. Since that time the Woods Foundation has been managed by Woods' law partner, Bill Bates, and a board of directors. The Woods Foundation invests thousands of dollars each year in community projects, the educational needs of local schools, scholarships and more.
