Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Tuesday afternoon.
Yesterday's crop progress report
showed slow planting progress in some major states.
The 5 day weather forecast that is
expecting another inch of rain in key producing states combined
to push prices higher.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids were 9 to 14 cents higher at 6.87-7.07.
Soybean bids were mostly 22 to 30
cents higher at 15.26-15.45.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 8 to 11 cents higher at 6.82-6.99.
Soybean bids were 18 to 29 cents
higher at 15.51-15.70.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 9 to
12 cents higher at 6.85-7.08.
Soybean bids were 24 to 30 cents
higher at 15.54-15.89.
Wheat bids were mostly 5 to 8
cents higher at 6.75-7.00.
