			Robert "Bob" Thomas Sr., 86, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, June 19, 
			2013, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield after a brief illness. (Below is a copy of 
							the obituary from the funeral home.) ___ 
							Robert "Bob" Thomas Sr., 86, of Lincoln, passed away 
							June 19, 2013 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield 
							after a brief illness. 
							Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, June 21, 2013 at
							Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln
							with Masonic Services performed by Lincoln 
							Masonic Lodge at 7PM. Funeral services will be 11:00 
							AM on Saturday June 22, 2013 at Lincoln Christian 
							Church with Pastor Ron Otto officiating. 
							Burial will be 1PM on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 
							Little Zion Cemetery in White County, IL. 
							Bob was born September 2, 1926 in Hamilton County, 
							IL. The son of Rozella Thomas. He married Emogene 
							South on June 6, 1948 in Fairfield, IL. | 
 
							He proudly served his country in the United States 
							Army. He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church 
							where he was also a member of the Little Lambs 
							Sunday School Class. Bob was a member of the Lincoln 
							Masonic Lodge #210, the Abraham Shrine #100, the 
							Central York Rite Chapter, Lincoln Masonic Chapter 
							#147, Constantine Commandry #51, Logan County Shrine 
							Club, Oddfellows #38, American Legion Post 263 and 
							the VFW Post 1756. 
							He was a barber in Lincoln, IL. for many years. 
							Surviving are his wife Emogene Thomas of Lincoln, 
							IL.; his children: Gary Thomas (Alita) of Olney, 
							IL.; Caroline Nota of Lincoln, IL.; Mamie Shull 
							(Dennis) of Lincoln, IL.; and Robert Thomas Jr. 
							(Penny) also of Lincoln, IL.; also surviving are 16 
							grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. 
							He was preceded in death by his parents, his 
							daughter Connie Albert, and his grandson Tracy 
							Thomas. 
							Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Christian 
							Church or to the Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210 and will 
							be accepted at the funeral home. |
