On Tuesday, Mark Graves of CTS delivered an update to the Chester-East Lincoln board regarding the renovation and construction work going on at the school.

Included in his presentation were photos of the work that has been done thus far.

Following are text and photos from that CTS report, provided by CEL school superintendent Jennifer Hamm.

The following is a quick summary of recent developments for the Board of Education.

I appreciated the opportunity to provide a quick update on construction developments at the June 18th BOE meeting. Our on-site project manager interacts with Ms. Jennifer Hamm on daily basis, but I know many of you do not get the opportunity to walk through the construction area. We are happy to accommodate site visits, but would like to schedule in advance to make sure we have proper safety attire for the walk through.

As I mentioned the project is moving along well, and we remain on schedule with activities. CTS and General Contractor, Christy Foltz, have been working well together on-site. We would like to see Christy Foltz continue to push forward with outstanding submittals to maintain the schedule for the balance of the summer, and we have been working with BLDD to review these in a timely fashion.

Below are some of the pictures I took on June 11th during my site visit. I’ll take additional pictures on future site visits and work with Ms. Hamm to get these posted on District website and distributed to BOE members.

New invisible partition walls in bathrooms. Actual demo is complete. Waiting to install new partitions.

Classroom terminal mechanical equipment has been demoed. New equipment is on-site and equipment placement has begun.

Lockers have been temporarily moved in corridors to allow new floor tile installation.

Although a poor picture, you will notice that the painting of the walls has begun. Here in Classroom 137, you can see that the gray paint trim work has started.
