According to Marcia Greenslate
of the park district, this year's ticket sales pretty much matched
past years in spite of the fact that she and Roy Logan, also of the
park district, had expressed a little concern last week that advance
tickets were not selling as well as they had in the past.
In the end, sales picked up,
and Greenslate said it was going to be another successful year of
fundraising for the fireworks, thanks to the community that always
seems to be able to find a dollar or two when someone local needs
support.
