Paxton- Marian L. Buse, 91, formerly of New Holland, passed away at 6:08 A.M. at Heartland Healthcare on March 3, 2013.

Marian was born on July 23, 1921 in Lincoln, daughter of Louis C. and Huldah A. Schwantz Engelbrecht. She was united in marriage to Wilbur Buse on February 16, 1947 at the Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1998. She is survived by her son Richard (Cheryl) Buse of Loda, IL; daughter: Mary (Jim) Conery of Everett, WA; and 2 grandchildren: Michael and Megan Conery. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Margaret Montgomery, and her sister Frances Davis.

Marian graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939 and she worked as a nurse at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln for many years. Marian was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland, she was a member of the Concordia Society, and she was a member of the New Holland Legion Auxiliary.

Graveside Services for Marian will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Richmond Grove Cemetery with Rev. Charles Olander conducting services. If the weather or other challenges make it difficult to attend, please feel free to join us at the Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland for lunch and fellowship following the committal service. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland. Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
