MOUNT PULASKI -- Saturday over 350
runners and walkers braved the damp chill, wind and off-and-on rain to
help raise $5,000 at the Mount Pulaski 5K Annabelle Phillips
Run on the Hill .
Two abreast, lead runners were
clocked at around 15 minutes at approximately the 2.5-mile mark by one of
the street directors.
Each participant was handed a bottle of water
as they crossed the finish line, and plenty of homemade baked goods
were also available.
Mrs. Angie Cyrulik was the
race director, with plenty of help from many local volunteers.
Annabelle 5K T-shirts were
available for ordering. Buff’s Family Restaurant nearby on the
square was busy. The Mount Pulaski Courthouse State Historic Site was busy as well, with 215 people who signed the register.
