Obama is headlining a two-day meeting of Organizing for Action, a nonprofit group created by former Obama campaign aides and White House advisers this year. The group is raising millions of dollars from donors to rally support for issues like gun control, immigration reform and climate change.
The White House has said Obama will meet with members of the group periodically but denies that high-dollar contributors will get quarterly meetings with the president.
Donors will hear from former Obama aides Jim Messina and David Plouffe (pluhf) during a "founders summit." Obama will speak during a dinner Wednesday night.
