Robert G. Minick, 86, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at
12:57 p.m. in the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.

LINCOLN-Robert G. Minick, 86, of Lincoln died at 12:57 p.m. March 20,
2013 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Emergency
Room, Lincoln.
Robert was born on June 27, 1926 in Atlanta, Illinois, the son of Virgil
and Lucille Akeman Minick. He married Theresa "Jane" Downey
October 2, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois. She survives in
Lincoln.

He is also survived by three sons: Michael Minick of Armington, IL;
Dennis (Carmen) Minick of Atlanta, IL; John (Rebekah) Minick
of Springfield, IL; three daughters: Linda Wilson; Karen
Lovelace; and Debra (Doug) Ebelherr, all of Lincoln; one
sister Marilyn Chitenden of Peoria, Arizona; twelve
grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Betty
Stubblefield and twin grandson and granddaughter.
Bob was retired from the Labor Union in Lincoln;
served in the US Army from 1944-1947 during W. W.
II; and was a member of the Eagle's Lodge #2708.
A memorial service for Bob will be held at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln on
Tuesday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation two hours
prior to service from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Memorials may be
given to Carroll Catholic School, the American Red Cross or
the Logan County Humane Society. Burial will be at a later
date.
