Howard W. Zook, 92, of Lincoln, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at
7:54 a.m. at
his home.

Lincoln- Howard W. Zook, 92, of Lincoln passed away
on Saturday at 7:54 a.m., April 27, 2013 at his
home. Howard was born April 9, 1921 in Clinton, IL
the son of Harry and Amy Watts Zook. He married
Deanna Johnson on June 22, 1940 in Beason and later
married Catharine Lasley on November 26, 1992.
Catherine preceded him in death March 19, 2008.
He is survived by two daughters: Amy L. Zook of
Urbana, IL; Sheri R. Zook of Snohomish, WA; one step
daughter: KaRinVarner, Mesa, AZ; one grandchild:
Emelie Brumbaugh, Snohomish, WA; ; two step
grandchildren: Steve Pasek, London, England and
KaLee Pasek, Oxnard, CA. He was preceded in death by
one infant son: Daniel Ellsworth Zook; and one
sister: Rachel "Liz" Edwards.

Howard was a member of the Beason United Methodist
Church; American Legion Chestnut-Beason Post 848;
Farmers Grain Elevator; Logan County Farm Bureau;
Former Board member of Logan FS and Beason Grade
School.
Mr. Zook's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial
service for Howard will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Christian Village
Congregate building, 1500 7th St., Lincoln, IL.
Services were entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorials may be given to Christian Village of
Lincoln. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.
