Stormy weather, more heavy rains beginning tonight

The Lincoln office of the National
Weather Service released the following weather outlook at 5:30 a.m.
Wednesday for the counties of Champaign, Christian, Coles, DeWitt,
Douglas, Edgar, Logan, Macon, McLean, Moultrie, Piatt, Sangamon,
Shelby and Vermilion in central and east-central Illinois:

Wednesday and Wednesday night
Scattered thunderstorms will be possible after midnight
Wednesday. No severe weather is expected.
Thursday through Tuesday
Scattered thunderstorms will occur over the area Thursday into
Thursday night. A few of the storms will be capable of producing
strong winds. In addition, heavy rainfall will be possible with some
of the stronger thunderstorms, with a few locations seeing over an
inch of rain by Thursday night.
There will be a chance for thunderstorms on Friday as a frontal
boundary shifts south of the area.
