 Capuano (1-2) allowed a run and five hits in 6 1-3 innings with seven strikeouts and one walk. The left-hander started against the Marlins for the first time since last Aug. 12, when he threw eight innings of two-hit ball in a 5-0 win at Miami.
Brandon League finished in a non-save situation, giving up a two-run double by Adeiny Hechavarria with two outs in the ninth after allowing a game-deciding home run in each of his previous two appearances.
The Dodgers, who ended an eight-game slide Saturday night with a 7-1 victory, took two of three in the series. They remain last in the NL West with a 15-21 record and still trail division-leading San Francisco by seven games.
Marlins rookie Tom Koehler (0-1) threw 79 pitches over five innings in his second big league start and first this season, allowing two runs and seven hits. The 26-year-old right-hander was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on April 19 and made six relief appearances before replacing Wade LeBlanc in the rotation.
LeBlanc is 1-7 with a 4.33 ERA against the Dodgers, and the Marlins have lost all seven games the left-hander has started this year -- including two no-decisions.
Koehler faced a lineup loaded with left-handed hitters except for Van Slyke, Matt Kemp and Tim Federowicz, who were a combined 4 for 7 against him. During his stint in the bullpen, righties were 1 for 23.
Kemp extended his hitting streak to 11 games with two singles, the second of which was his 1,000th career hit.

Van Slyke, recalled from Triple-A on Friday, opened the scoring with his third big league homer leading off the second. His only other home run at Dodger Stadium was last May 20, when he hit a three-run shot in the seventh inning against St. Louis' Marc Rzepczynski while pinch-hitting for Adam Kennedy to turn a 5-3 deficit into a 6-5 lead -- which turned out to be the final score.
After Nick Punto's sacrifice fly gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead in the fourth, Justin Ruggiano got the Marlins on the board in the sixth with his seventh homer -- all on the road.
But the Dodgers extended the margin to 5-1 during a three-run seventh, as Mike Dunn gave up RBI singles to Van Slyke and Carl Crawford and a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by Andre Ethier that followed an intentional walk to Kemp. The first two runs in the inning were charged to Jon Rauch.
NOTES: Marlins reserve OF Austin Kearns, who has eight hits in 14 career at-bats against Capuano, was moved from the bereavement list to the restricted list. He will be spending more time with his mother, who had a heart attack on May 5. ... The only player in the Dodgers' starting lineup to use a pink bat on Mother's Day was Ethier (0 for 3). The only Marlins using one were Juan Pierre (0 for 4) and Hechavarria (1 for 4). ... Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez, who is 14 for 28 with runners in scoring position, got the day off because of persistent discomfort in his neck, which affects him in the field but not at the plate. ... Kemp, a two-time Gold Glove winner, misjudged Pierre's leadoff fly to center field in the first inning and had to reverse his field before reaching over his head to make the catch. ... Marlins RF Marcell Ozuna turned Kemp's first-inning fly ball into a double play with a perfect, one-hop throw to 3B Placido Polanco, who slapped the tag on Crawford after he tagged up. ... The Dodgers won consecutive games against the same team for the first time since April 10-11 at San Diego.
