Alice Taylor, 49, of Aurora, Nebraska, formerly of Lincoln, died on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Ms. Taylor died peacefully in her home.

Alice was born on December 14, 1963, the daughter of Don and Gertrude Taylor, of Elwin, Illinois. Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include her life partner, Marcy Taylor, also of Aurora, Nebraska, and four siblings – Carl Taylor of Decatur, Illinois, David Taylor, of Key West, Florida, Marianna Taylor of Arthur, Illinois, and Doug Taylor, of Decatur, Illinois. Alice also had several nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Macon High School, she also attended Richland Community College and Heartland Community College. Ms Taylor worked as a professional caregiver for many years, caring for adults with developmental disabilities and the elderly. She was also a committed member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and had maintained 30 years of sobriety.

Cremation services were performed, and her ashes will eventually be returned to Illinois for burial. At her request, no funeral service was held. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
