"This report will help residents throughout Illinois learn about the wide
variety of licensed professionals who live and work in their communities," said
Jay Stewart, director of the Division of Professional Regulation. "Licensed
professionals in Illinois must meet the highest standards, and I commend these
individuals for their hard work and wish them success as they get to work and
drive our economy forward." Many of the more than 1 million licensed
professionals in Illinois are self-employed or work in small professional
corporations. IDFPR recognizes the importance of ensuring that people who want
to work as professionals in Illinois receive their licenses promptly and that
every new professional meets the minimum guidelines required for the safe
practice of that profession.
