Mildred M. Johnson, 89, of Lincoln died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at
8:55 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Lincoln-Mildred M. Johnson, 89, of Lincoln died at
8:55 p.m. May 15, 2013 at St. John's Hospital,
Springfield, IL.
Mildred was born on July 10, 1923 in New Holland, IL
the daughter of Harry F. and Matilda Miller Koester.
She married Albert Nelson Johnson August 5, 1944. He
preceded her in death October 23, 1962.
Surviving Mildred are three daughters: Betty Hamann,
New Holland; Phyllis (Alan) Ruwe of Maroa, IL and
Donna (Boyd) Ware of Fulton, MO; seven grandchildren
and twelve great grandchildren. She is the last of
her immediate family. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband; three brothers: Merlin, Fred
and Harold Koester; four sisters: Henrietta Wibben;
Dora Martin; Irene Leimbach; Louise Wolpert; one
granddaughter: Melissa Ware and one son-in-law:
Roger Hamann.

Mildred worked in housekeeping at Deaconess Nursing
Home; Extended Care at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital and retired from Lincoln Developmental
Center having worked in the dietary department.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of
Lincoln.
Services for Mildred will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday,
May 18, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church of
Lincoln or St. John's Hospice.
