In April, 1.038 million new cars were registered in the European Union, up from the historic low for April of 1.021 million reached in 2012, the ACEA said. Sales rebounded in Germany, posting a 3.8 percent gain in April compared with the previous year. Sales also were up in Spain, helped by new incentives, and continued strong in Britain. France and Italy, the No. 3 and No. 4 markets, posted declines of 5.3 percent and 10.8 percent respectively.
