This week is National Nursing Home Week. As a part of their observance, Symphony of Lincoln had wheelchair races in their parking lot on Tuesday.

The event included staff member teams and teams of staff with patients. The cheering section was also made up of staff and patients. While no one won a million bucks, the racers did win a million smiles and laughs from the residents at the nursing home as well as the staff members.

Ready, set, GO!

Residents, family members and staff had a great time cheering for their
favorite team.

That was way too much fun!

Checkout the helmet. The "Cardinal" team is ready!

What is it with the helmets anyway? Are they afraid they are riding with reckless drivers?!

And what did the winners get? Their picture taken with administrator Doug Rutter!
